ABOUT CALL
Sharing Light. Pursuing Life. Building a Community Where Drugs Have No Market.
CREATED IN MEMORY OF EMILY
Community Advancing Light & Life (CALL) exists to honor the life of Emily Barber by helping prevent substance misuse before it begins. Our initiative focuses on supporting efforts in Charleston, Illinois, and the surrounding communities that complement—not replicate—the work of treatment agencies and law enforcement.

CALL focuses on building a unified, informed, and motivated community committed to increasing positive peer influence that encourages delaying the use of legal substances until the legal age and promoting complete abstinence from illicit drugs.
WE HONOR EMILY'S LEGACY BY HELPING OTHERS CONTINUE TO PURSUE LIGHT & LIFE
CALL is shedding light on the specific impacts that harmful substances are having in Charleston, IL and beyond, while pointing members of our community to both prevention and treatment resources will allow more of our children and families to experience a life out of the shadows, shining with safety, belonging, purpose, joy, and hope.
